About Us:

Activity Village was launched in September 2000 by mother of two Lindsay Small when she found herself falling in love with the internet and wanting to be part of it herself! Lindsay had discovered how useful the internet could be to a busy parent - providing inspiration, advice, and endless coloring pages at the click of a button - and she was soon providing her own unique "Activity Village" resources to a growing number of loyal parents, grandparents and teachers.

Activity Village has always been about enjoying children and family, and "keeping kids busy" in fun, productive ways. We now have over 5,000 pages of crafts, printables, educational activities, games, recipes and much more - viewed by some 900,000 different visitors a month from all over the world.

Lindsay now has a fantastic team of contributors:

Jenni (grandmother of 7) - Colouring pages
Sarah (home-schooling mother of 2 boys) - Crafts and content
Lindsey (home-schooling mother) - Links
Sahar - Colouring pages
Adina - Colouring pages

Many of our visitors have also contributed with their ideas, support and encouragement over the years.

Some of our latest printables feature illustrations by Erik DePrince - MisterElements. If you would like to use his illustrations in your own projects you can find them at his website, www.MisterElements.com.

If you're human, you're going to be dealing with difficult people from time to time - whatever your age. You'll find them at work, at home, at school, or even while out shopping. A Moment Of Silence Please
Kids could benefit from learning to sit silently and do nothing. This is a skill most people never develop but we could easily change that by allowing school kids to sit and contemplate for twenty minutes or so. If they want to pray they could do that, in their own way and silently, the way it should be done if you're serious about it. Otherwise, we could give them some elevating thoughts to ponder.
