Australian
Map Collage
The Australian continent map collage was a project done
by my daughter when she was at nursery school age (click on
the thumbnail to see a larger view).
An outline of Australia was cut out of brown construction paper. You
can use our outline here.
Matilda cut out various animal and fish shapes, as well as a tree
and a "mound" for Uluru! She had great fun pasting these onto
her map, and then adding little typed labels which we prepared on the
computer.
Rather than cut out the shapes, you could provide photos or clipart. There are many appropriate images at the sites listed
on our Australia links page.
