Bill ClintonBill Clinton (1946- ) was the 42nd President of the United States, serving from 1993 to 2001.

Clinton was a Democrat. He was the third youngest President - being only 46 years old when he was elected.

The economy grew steadily during his Presidency and he set up a programme providing health insurance for millions of children. In his second term as President, he was impeached - that is, formally accused - after a scandal at the White House, but he was acquitted and remained popular after leaving the Presidency.
