Catherine of Aragon Printables
Catherine of Aragon was the daughter of Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain. As a
Spanish princess, it was important that she marry well, so at the of 3 she was
betrothed to Arthur, the oldest son of
Henry VII of England. When he died, she
married his younger brother,
Henry VIII. Sadly, although she and
Henry had a daughter,
Mary, Henry needed a son and would stop at
nothing to get one. He divorced Catherine and married
Anne Boleyn.
