Blossom is symbolic of
the New Year, and blossom branches are a traditional decoration at Chinese
New Year, and welcome in most houses at any time!
Activity 1
Go out for a walk with the children and collect suitable branches. Make a
selection of pink tissue and crepe paper flowers and attach them to your
branches.
Activity 2
Print out our bare "branch". Colour in with browns and greens
(have a look at the graphic above if you need inspiration). Cut
blossoms and buds out of pink craft foam, felt, washing up sponge, calico
fabric scraps, or a mixture of all of these, and have fun sticking them
on!
