Chinese Peasant Costume
It's easy to dress up as an old-fashioned Chinese farmer or peasant! You will
need to wear a black or dark grey T-shirt or shirt, black trousers, and a Chinese peasant
hat (follow our instructions to make your own!)
Make a Chinese peasant hat!
Peasants in China traditionally used a carrying device made up of a stick
with two baskets on the ends carried over the back of the neck to allow them to
carry heavy items. We made our own using a piece of bamboo cane, to which we
tied two seaside buckets. Doesn't Jack look great?
