Edward I Printables
Edward I came to the throne when his father, Henry III,
died, and he ruled England from 1272 to 1307. He was also known as Edward
Longshanks (he was 6 foot 2 inches, which was very tall in those days) and "The
Hammer of the Scots", as he almost conquered Scotland during his reign. Although
there were 3 kings called Edward before him (including Edward the Confessor),
Edward Longshanks is always known as Edward I. His son became
Edward II.
