Family Recipes

Family Recipes

It can be hard to think of interesting new family recipes to try out  - and harder still to find the time to go looking for them!

Activity Village provides a growing collection of tried and tested family recipes - everything from breakfast through to lunch, tea and dinner - as well as craft recipes to make with your kids. And of course many of these family recipes are perfect for cooking with your children, or for older children to attempt on their own!

A note on measurements:

The British tend to use weights of solid ingredients, either imperial (pounds and ounces) or metric (grams, kilograms), whilst the Americas use cups.

Where possible we give both measurements. In most recipes the first measurement is that given in the original recipe, and the one in brackets is the conversion. If at all possible, use the first measurement given, as this will be ‘tried and tested’. And remember not to mix and match from one to the other!
