Print some Harry
Potter coins
This wonderful
reader contribution includes all sorts of ideas (including learning
games) for using the galleons,
sickles and knuts which you print out!
Make a
folder:
We found lots of great printable activities on our travels and decided to
put them all together into a folder for rainy days and holidays. If you
like that idea too, you can make your folder extra-special by printing out
our “Wizard” pattern sheet (perhaps onto cardboard) and using it to
make a folder to keep your pages in. Alternatively, do a Google image
search for Harry Potter images and print out a selection to stick on
your folder.
Make a Hogwarts journal,
decorated with a house crest:
Buy a plain, lined notebook (the kind with cardboard covers is ideal,
especially if you can find one in an appropriate house color, or black
or brown. Do a Google image search for your favorite house crest, then
use the image to draw your own version, either directly on the cover or
onto paper to be cut out and stuck on when finished. We copied a
Gryffindor crest onto white paper, cut it out and pasted it onto a red
notebook, and then outlined the edges in gold highlighting pen.
Party party:
If you want to give a Harry
Potter party, visit our Wizard birthday printables pages to get some
invitations and writing paper (and be sure to check out the great birthday party ideas which
you will find on the Harry Potter links
page). Perhaps you could put together a
selection of puzzles, bookmarks and Harry Potter coloring pages for the party bags?
Harry
Potter Quiz
cards:
Why not print out a few pages of a Wizard pattern
onto card, cut them into regular, flash-card sized pieces, and create your
own Harry Potter quiz cards! Challenge your friends and you will all have fun!
You can find ideas for your questions on the
Harry Potter Links page.
