Home-made Humous (Humus)Rosemary says: I adore humous, and since I have been trying to replace a lot of my carbohydrates with pulses I thought it would be worth trying to make my own. And it’s been a great success. My first batch came out a bit coarser and more solid than shop-bought, but to be honest I prefer it like that. The coarseness obviously depends on how long you food process it for, and just keep adding olive oil or water to make it less solid..

Soak the chick peas overnight in water. Drain, put into a
saucepan, cover with water bring and boil for 10 minutes. Then simmer for around
1 ½ hours until the chick peas are soft. |
