Mars Bar Krispies

Rosemary says: I've never known a child who doesn't like these - and I've not known many adults who can say no to them either! They are very quick and easy to prepare (and eat).

Mars Bar Krispies

Ingredients:

3 Mars Bars
3oz (75g) margarine
3oz (75g) Rice Krispies
8oz (200g) milk chocolate

Instructions:

Melt the margarine and Mars Bars together; if you are very careful you can do this in a pan directly over the heat, otherwise place the mixture in a bowl over a pan of boiling water. Once melted add the Rice Krispies and stir carefully till they are evenly coated. Put the mixture in a square tin (about 10 inches square) and put in the fridge to cool for at least 2 hours.

When the cake has cooled melt the milk chocolate in a bowl over a pan of boiling water and stir till smooth. Pour over the cake and, with a flat knife or spatula, spread out. Return to fridge to set for about an hour.

To remove the cake from the tin, run a knife round the edges, turn it upside down onto a board and give the bottom of the tin several hard taps. You may need to do this a couple of times. Cut into fingers or squares. Enjoy.
