Minibeasts Lacing Cards

Lacing Cards
Print onto card, cut out and punch these fun lacing cards of popular (and no
so popular) minibeasts. If you laminate the cards you will be able to use them
again and again. They are a great "spare moment" activity in a classroom - keep
a box of lacing cards and shoelaces handy!
Being bugs some of the outlines of these minibeasts lacing cards are a little
tricky. We suggest you cut loosely around the the antennae, wings and feet to
give a more rounded outline for younger kids. (You will find some simpler
outlines on our main Lacing Cards page)
Use a shoe lace or lengths of coloured yarn (wool) with the ends strengthened
either with sticky tape or white glue (PVA) to thread the shapes. Older children
can use a large-eyed blunt needle and length of yarn.
