Origami Envelope Advent Calendar

These origami envelopes are quick to fold and you can make an impressive DIY origami advent calendar quickly. Either use up scraps of Christmas gift wrap randomly, or choose your paper carefully to blend in with your Christmas decor! The kids will enjoy helping you fold the envelopes, and will look forward to opening them every day to find their surprise, too.

Origami Envelopes Advent Calendar

You will need:

Wrapping paper or origami paper
Stickers or glue
Metallic or glitter pens
Cord
Mini craft pegs
Pictures or treats to fill the calendar (we made ours as a "challenge calendar", writing each day's challenge on the back of the origami square)

Instructions:

If you are using wrapping paper, cut 24 squares. We made ours small - about 12cm or 4 inches - but if you intend putting things in the calendar you may want to make them bigger.

If you are writing on the squares do this now.

Fold the squares according to the instructions below. If you are filling them remember to slot your treat inside before you seal the envelope with a sticker or glue.
