Pot up a heart!

Valentine's Day Craft

We think this would make a super present for a mother or grandmother, especially if your child wrote a message on the back of their masterpiece or stuck on a small photo. Or make a large version filled with lots of hearts and use it as a table decoration.

You will need:
A small terracotta pot
Dried flower oasis, or playdough
Lolly sticks, straws or similar
A supply of hearts (see suggestions below)

Suggestions for hearts:

Cut from decorative paper (you could use our valentine scrapbook papers)
Cut from plain paper or card and encourage your child to decorate with colours, paints, glitter etc
Cut from card and use tissue paper scrunches to decorate
Print out some of our hearts and cut out your favourites

Instructions:

Fill the terracotta pot with oasis or playdough. Attach hearts to lolly sticks or straws with a small piece of sticky-tape, and arrange in the pot. Tie a ribbon around the pot if you like!
