Richard I Printables
King Richard ruled England from 1189 to 1199. He was also known as Richard
the Lionheart because he was a very brave soldier and military leader, having
commanded his own army at the age of 16. He was the son of
Henry II. He is best known for leading
the Third Crusade - and perhaps as the absent King in the Robin Hood stories!
