Spider Jelly

These aren't really a recipe as such - just a quick idea for presenting your jelly/jello for Halloween. As you can see from the photo it looks incredibly effective and gruesome, and the kids we tried it on loved it!

Spider jelly

Make up your jelly as usual and pour into individual containers (ours are inexpensive plastic goblets from the supermarket, and we think they look great). When the jelly is set, just drop a plastic spider (make sure you wash them well first) onto the top of the glass and scatter a few around the table too. Now eat them if you dare!

NB: watch young children carefully - you don't want them to actually eat the spiders!
