Switchback Solitaire
To be honest with you, I find this solitaire game very confusing indeed! Best
for older kids, perhaps, with lots of patience...
Switchback solitaire is played with 2 decks of cards with the Kings removed.
Four aces are placed in the centre for the foundation, and then 12 cards are
dealt around them in a circle like a clock face. The object of this game is to
move all the cards to the foundation, in the same suits, in the following order:
A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, A.
Start
by taking a card from the stock pile and placing it either on the foundation, in
a gap in the clock face (where each space can only hold one card), or on one of
the four waste piles, which can be stacked up however you want. You can move a
card from the clock face or waste piles to the foundation at any time. You can
move cards from the waste piles to the clock face but not the other way round.
If you get really stuck you can press the shuffle button to shuffle the waste
piles - but only once! Good luck!
