Sir Walter Raleigh Printables
Sir Walter Raleigh, one of Elizabeth I's
favourite courtiers, is known as a swashbuckling hero of the Tudor age, as well
as a poet, writer, explorer and soldier. His popularity didn't last after
Elizabeth's death, however, and he was beheaded in 1618 for supposedly being
involved in a plot to overthrow King James I.
