Having worked on decomposing numbers to understand number bonds with our Break It Up Printable, we hope that children will quickly see that the reverse of a number bond is an addition sum. Put a small number of counters on each "part" rectangle, counting as you do so and telling a story. "We have two red counters here and two blue counters here. Now, if we move them all into the Whole rectangle, how many do we get?"
Add It Up Printable
These scarecrow peg cards help make addition a lot more fun. Cut out the cards then ask the children to work out the sums and 'peg' the correct number. There are 20 peg cards here in this set.
These colourful Halloween peg cards are a different way to practise adding to 10 and are perfect for the classroom or at home. The children need to work out the sum then peg the correct number on the card. Laminate the cards if you want to reuse them.
