One of the most important dates in the Buddhist year is Vesak (or Wesak, or Buddha Day) when the birth, enlightenment and death of Buddha are celebrated with many old-established traditions. Linked the full moon in May, the exact date of the holiday and the way it is celebrated varies throughout Asia: this year, the holiday falls on 20th - 22nd May. This is the first year we have looked at the traditions of Vesak and we've also produced some brand new activites that might be useful in your studies of Buddha and Buddhism, too.
