Cookie Policy

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to your computer or mobile device by websites that you visit. They can improve your experience of using a website, for example, by remembering when you have added something to your shopping card, or improving a website to suit visitors' needs.

Cookies can be first party (set by this website) or third party (set by other services used by this website).

Activity Village makes every effort to protect your privacy and safety while you are on this website. We therefore limit strictly the amount of third party cookies set and only allow cookies which anonymise your personal information so that individual visitors cannot be identified.

GDPR

The EU's General Data Protection Policy states that websites must get consent to send cookies to EU visitors' computers or mobile devices unless the cookies are strictly necessary to provide services.

At the moment we are simply asking you to accept (or decline) cookies from Google Analytics, which allow us to see (in aggregate) where visitors come from, which pages they visit and what content they enjoy, and Aweber.com, which provides our newsletter service.

Anonymous visitors to the website (ie not logged-in members) may be shown non-personalised ads through the Google Adsense program. Although these ads don’t use cookies for ad personalisation, they do use cookies to allow for frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting and to combat fraud and abuse. Consent is therefore required to use cookies for those purposes from users in countries to which the ePrivacy Directive’s cookie provisions apply.

All other cookies are necessary to our running of the website.

EU visitors can withdraw consent to cookies (apart from our necessary cookies) at any time even if you have previously consented, simply by clicking on the cookie "flash" in the bottom right corner of the screen, to open our cookie banner.

Declining Cookies

In addition to the above provision for the EU, all visitors can turn off cookies at browser level. You can read more about cookies and how to control them in your browser here (if you click the link you will be leaving Activity Village - we are not responsible for this content). Please be aware that some parts of our website will not function properly if you turn off all cookies!
