This is a fun Christmas strategy game for all the family. Who can deliver their presents and collect the most treats?
You will need:
Game board
Counters (1 per player)
Die
Treat cards
Reindeer cards
Present cards
For:
3-6 players
Age:
5+
How to play:
Place a cookie and a carrot on each house. Place the counters on the starting space.
Each player starts with 6 presents and 8 reindeer cards. The rest of the cards are discarded.
Decide who goes first. Player 1 rolls the die and moves the number of spaces.
At this stage the player can choose to move spaces forwards or backwards at the cost of 1 reindeer for each space. The player does not do any actions associated with a space until they finish moving. Any 'spent' reindeer are discarded.
If they land on a space with another player on it, they can give or take a present from the other player or if the player has any, take a mince pie or carrot.
If they land on a house they can choose to leave a present. If they leave a present they can collect a cookie or carrot if there are any at the house. If they do not leave a present they can not take a treat.
The aim is the finish the game with as many carrots and cookies as they can and to deliver as many of their presents as they can.
When everyone has finished players total up their final points tally based on the cards in their hand.
Final points are worked out by
(number of carrots x number of cookies - (3 x number of presents undelivered)
The winner is the player with the most points.
