Three books make up the Faraway Tree trilogy by Enid Blyton: The Enchanted Wood, The Magic Faraway Tree and The Folk of the Faraway Tree. For many, they are the most magical of the stories that Enid Blyton wrote, and their first introduction to the author.
Three children move to a new house on the edge of the Enchanted Wood and discover the Faraway Tree. The fairies and fairy-folk become their companions as they explore. When they climb to the very top of the tree, they discover a Magic Land in the clouds - in fact, a different land each time they visit! The children explore the Land of Spells, the Land of Goodies, the Land of Dreams, the Land of Topsy-Turvy, and many more.
