This counting activity is rather like a Halloween I-Spy! There are all sorts of things to spot in the picture, and we ask the kids to count up some of them.
Choose from a colour (easier) or black and white (harder) version of the picture. When you are done, check answers against the answer sheet. This might be a fun table activity for a small group or pairs of children.
More questions you could ask:
How many ghosts? How many grinning ghosts? How many teeth? How many eyes?
The witch has left one of her belongings behind. Can you spot it? There is only one of these in the picture.
