Handball
Handball is a team sport, and is part of the Summer Olympics. Two teams of seven players each (including a goalkeeper on each team) try to throw the ball into the other team's goal. A match usually lasts for an hour with a break for half time, and the team which scores the most goals wins.
Handball is usually played indoors, but can be played outdoors or on the beach. The game is fast and isn't for the faint-hearted!
We've created a handball colouring page for younger children. The eagle-eyed may notice that our handball player is dressed in Team GB kit from the London 2012 Olympics!
