Use our beautifully illustrated flash cards to explore the names of different musical instruments. How do you think that the instrument is played? How do you think the instrument will sound? Find recordings or videos of people playing the musical instruments to explore the sounds of the instruments further. You could play a short piece of music to listen to. Can the children guess which instrument is being played? They could choose the flash card that they think they hear. You could also listen to a short piece of music which includes a range of instruments being played. Try to identify the instruments and put the flash cards into the order that the children heard them being played.
