Website Problems Fixed (I Hope)! And Lots NEW!

Tuesday 12th December
We had a Glitch! My huge apologies to anyone who has clicked on a link at the website over the last few days and found this ...
Website problems!
Unfortunately many of our top pages fell prey to the Glitch - including some of our main menu pages and - most importantly for this time of year - Christmas Colouring! I think we've fixed them all now and there's still time to download some of our lovely Christmas colouring activities - we have many hundreds to choose from.

Because I wanted to let you know, I'm rushing this newsletter out a couple of days early. Consequently it's a little shorter than normal, but you will still find lots of lovely new activities below.

Activity Village Membership ...
We now have over 26,000 printable activities available to our Activity Village Members - and we are adding more nearly every day! If you haven't joined up yet, you can browse the website to see what we offer and find out about becoming a member here. And remember - logged-in Members see an ad-free version of the website! *

This Week's Guest Post
Shelly and her kids share how they have been making home-made Christmas cards on the blog. They have enlisted the help of our Christmas templates, tree decorations and colouring pages. There are some lovely ideas here if you are looking for inspiration.

Have You Seen?
Have you seen our Christmas pencil control pages? They are such a lovely way to practice pencil skills with younger children - or for older kids to really go to town drawing in the lines, adding embellishments and colouring in.

A Little Something ...
What I Should Like
by Jennie D. Moore

On Christmas Eve I'd like to lie
Awake, when stars are in the sky,
And listen to the sound that swells
From Santa Claus's jingling bells.

I'd like to hear upon the roof
The patter of each tiny hoof
Of Santa's reindeer overhead,
When I am snug and warm in bed.

But Mamma says I must not lie
Awake, or he will pass me by;
He does not like the girls or boys
To watch him when he brings the toys.

I think I'd better go to sleep.
I guess the presents all will keep,
Then in the morning I shall be
Glad to think I did not see.

"Christmas gift suggestions: To your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a good example. To yourself, respect."
Oren Arnold

"Christmas! The very word brings joy to our hearts. No matter how we may dread the rush, the long Christmas lists for gifts and cards to be bought and given - when Christmas Day comes there is still the same warm feeling we had as children, the same warmth that enfolds our hearts and our homes."
Joan Winmill Brown
