12th July 2018
We've taken advantage of the summer "slow down" and have been working really hard behind the scenes to improve the speed and structure of the website and make it easier for you to find what you are looking for. We've got more to do, but hope you will notice improvements over the next few weeks when you visit.
So this week, it's mainly about our Guest Bloggers! Shelly, Rita and Sarah B have all showcased different printables from the website, explaining how they have been using them and enjoying them with the kids. We always love to see our printables in action, and I hope that you get some good ideas and inspiration from the posts.
Activity Village Membership ...
We now have over 29,940 printable activities available to our Activity Village Members - and we are adding more nearly every day (over 3060 this year already!) If you haven't joined up yet, you can browse the website to see what we offer and find out about becoming a member here.
What happens when your Membership year is up? We don't renew automatically but we dosend an email alerting you when your year expires. After expiry, simply log in to the website and you will find a link to our renewal page.
What's New?
We've added C, D and E to our collection of Illuminated Alphabet colouring pages and cards. Remember, we have two versions - embellished (pictured) and simple.
Our new shape playdough mats are bright and appealing and fun!
11 gorgeous new fruity scrapbook paper designs in 2 sizes!
Have You Seen?
Have you seen our guided crosswords? These were requested by lots of members.
Have you seen our holiday journal pages? They are fun way to get the kids planning - and recording - their holidays and vacations.
Two colouring quotes that are perfect for sunshiny days!
Over to our Guest Bloggers...
Shelly and her kids have been working on telling the time using our collection of teaching clocks and telling time worksheets. Shelly adapted the clocks to work on the particular needs of her two children - clever!
Rita's kids have been making the most of this amazing English summer with some finger puppet fun in the garden.
Finally, Sarah B has some tips for encouraging reluctant writers...
A Little Something ...
One of my all time favourites!
Leisure
By William Henry Davies
What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
We have no time to stand and stare.
