I suspect that half the world is going to be glued to the football for the next few weeks - and the other half won't be! I hope that both halves will find plenty to please them at Activity Village..
This week we've been working on 2d shapes and making more weather resources (including some lovely weather diary printables). We've topped up our Father's Day activities. We've learned about Julia Donaldson and added the letters J and R to our lovely illuminated alphabet. Shelly and her kids paid a visit to the zoo. Find out all about the week's additions below...
Activity Village Membership ...
We now have over 29,325 printable activities available to our Activity Village Members - and we are adding more nearly every day (over 2850 this year already!) If you haven't joined up yet, you can browse the website to see what we offer and find out about becoming a member here.
What happens when your Membership year is up? We don't renew automatically but we dosend an email alerting you when your year expires. After expiry, simply log in to the website and you will find a link to our renewal page.
What's New at Activity Village ...
And we are off! If you haven't explored yet - now's the time to check out our World Cup activities for Kids and our general Soccer pages too. We've got so much there!
New this week, the letters J and R have been added to our set of Illuminated Alphabet Colouring Pages.
We've added 13 sets of useful shape printables for learning and crafty activities!
We continue our "Maths Stage by Stage" section with a colourful introduction to 2D shapes.
We've added three fun new Father's Day cards to print for Sunday. And of course we've got lots more ideas here!
These new prompted writing paper designs might be perfect for Father's Day?
These latest additions to our Weather topic - Draw the Weather Worksheets - are just a little bit different, and a great way to get the kids thinking about how the weather affects our everyday lives.
I think it would be fun to get these Weather Picture Frames out after a big weather event - like a huge thunderstorm, or snowstorm, or a sunny summer's day out - and capture the memory with the kids.

It really doesn't matter if you're rich or poor.
There are books in boxes and books on shelves.
They're free for you to borrow, so help yourselves.
Come and meet your heroes, old and new,
From William the Conqueror to Winnie the Pooh.
You can look into the Mirror or read The Times,
Or bring along a toddler to chant some rhymes.
The librarian's a friend who loves to lend,
So see if there's a book that she can recommend.
Read that book, and if you're bitten
You can borrow all the other ones the author's written.
Are you into battles or biography?
Are you keen on gerbils or geography?
Gardening or ghosts? Sharks or science fiction?
There's something here for everyone, whatever your addiction.
There are students revising, deep in concentration,
And school kids doing projects, finding inspiration.
Over in the corner there's a table with seating,
So come along and join in the Book Club meeting.
Yes, come to the library! Browse and borrow,
