If you are about to start, or already enjoying, your summer holidays, don't forget to explore our huge collection of activities - we've got lots of help with keeping your kids amused! You'll find some ideas in the Have You Seen section below.
Of course we have visitors from all over the world, and not all of us are on holiday now. So we will keep going with weekly newsletters throughout the summer, adding a variety of new content each week.
Activity Village Membership ...
We now have over 29,940 printable activities available to our Activity Village Members - and we are adding more nearly every day (over 3060 this year already!) If you haven't joined up yet, you can browse the website to see what we offer and find out about becoming a member here.
What happens when your Membership year is up? We don't renew automatically but we dosend an email alerting you when your year expires. After expiry, simply log in to the website and you will find a link to our renewal page.
What's New?
Here are 4 weather themed boggler puzzles to get the kids thinking!
And we've just added three more weather puzzles for younger kids - fun match-up puzzles with a weather theme.
We've topped up our transport colouring pages with pretty hot air balloons...
...and added this lovely new illuminated alphabet writing paper ...
...and we've also added Illuminated alphabet colouring pages and cards for K, N and Q
Our famous person of the week is Italian scientist, mathematician and astrologer ... Galileo Galilei
Work your way through a typical day with the help of these labelled daily routines posters and daily routines colouring pages.
You'll find 4 new sets of daily routines story paper too.
Have You Seen?
Have you seen our summer puzzles? This is just a small sample - I think we have enough to keep even the most puzzle-y family going all through the summer holidays!
I love these "complete the summer pictures" printables as they encourage the children to be creative, but also provide a starting point for less confident kids. Try them with a group of children and see how different the results can be!
And for something a little different, how about our summer colour by number pages?
Over to our Guest Bloggers...
Shelly's kids make a variety of beautiful puffy paint flowers and collage flowers. The results are so pretty you are sure to be inspired!
Sarah B shares how she created holiday scrapbooks using a selection of our printable activities to capture memories of a recent holiday in Scotland.
A Little Something ...
"One of my earliest memories is of seeing my mother in her beach chair, reading a book under an umbrella by the water's edge while my sisters and I played beside her. Of all the life lessons she taught me, that is one of my favourites: to take time at a place I love, restore my spirit with books and the beach."
Luanne Rice

"In summer, the song sings itself".
William Carlos Williams
"Let us dance in the sun, wearing wild flowers in our hair...”

"Summer will end soon enough, and childhood as well.”

[This photo made me laugh! It is exactly the face I would have made if someone had shown me a crab up close at that age - if I hadn't run a mile in the opposite direction first!]
