A Message from Lindsay...
Welcome to our new subscribers!
This is the first newsletter I have sent out for a while as I've been taking some time off - but Sarah has been valiantly holding the fort and, if you've visited the website recently, you will have seen some of the fabulous new content she has been adding. And if you haven't, you can scroll down through this newsletter and see what's been going on!

What's New at Activity Village
One of our members asked if we could make some vocabulary dice nets for her EFL classroom and we thought it was a great idea.
New maths nets for first 3D shapes, as well as some interesting worksheets to reinforce them.
Shelly's kids have been learning about perspective with the help of some of our colouring pages and templates.
We have added some spring themed spelling activities to our spring vocabulary printables. Featuring some lovely spring animals and flowers, they are sure to cheer any classroom.
Enjoy practising some early maths skills this spring with our bright and colourful spring size sorting activities.
We've added 10 new spring holiday themed sensory poem planners to our collection for some seasonal creativity.
New spring scene story writing prompts that we hope will encourage even the most reluctant of writers!
If you are looking for something different for the classroom this spring why not explore our spring quotation activities?
We've launched a brand new Life Cycles section, which you can explore by resource type or by four different life cycles...
... starting with the life cycle of a butterfly
We've also got the life cycle of a bean ...
... and the life cycle of a frog ...
... and the life cycle of a sunflower.
That brings us to our latest famous person - Maria Sibylla Merian. This naturalist and illustrator was a trailblazer for women in science. Through her careful observations and drawings she added much to our understanding of insect life - particularly the life cycle of butterflies - making her the inspiration behind our new life cycles topic.
For those of you who love quotations as much as we do, we've now gathered all our resources together in one place to make them easier to find.
And finally, we've extended our range of word art printables with these lovely, inspiring messages. We have colouring pages and cards, posters and greetings cards and story paper available for "peace", "love", "faith", "believe" and "dream".
A Little Something ...
“I am going to try to pay attention to the spring. I am going to look around at all the flowers, and look up at the hectic trees. I am going to close my eyes and listen.”
Anne Lamott
“I had always planned to make a large painting of the early spring, when the first leaves are at the bottom of the trees, and they seem to float in space in a wonderful way. But the arrival of spring can’t be done in one picture.”
David Hockney
“She turned to the sunlight and shook her yellow head, and whispered to her neighbour: ‘Winter is dead.'”
A.A. Milne, When We Were Very Young
“It is spring again. The earth is like a child that knows poems by heart.”
Rainer Maria Rilke
