Notre Dame de Paris ("Our Lady of Paris") is a medieval Catholic cathedral in Paris and is one of the most widely recognised buildings in Paris, and France. In April 2019 the cathedral tragically caught fire during restoration work and its famous spire, and much of the surrounding roof, were destroyed.
The cathedral is the setting of Victor Hugo's 1831 novel, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. About 12 million people visit the cathedral every year. In this colouring page you can see children admiring and taking photos of the cathedral as it looked before the fire. Hopefully one day soon Notre Dame's spire will rise again.
