For these interesting puzzles we've created a grid of random numbers and pulled out "chunks" or shapes of numbers for the kids to try to find. They can then colour them in or outline them. If you prefer they could cut out the shapes and stick them on top of the grid when they find the correct position. The puzzles are a good way to reinforce early number recognition but also just a general challenge - a little like a word search, but different! There are 4 puzzles in this set, each with the same simple shapes to look for.

Addition Challenge Set 1
For these puzzles, or "challenges", the children have to find 18 addition problems within the grid, either horizontally or vertically, circle them and write the problems below. We've provided 2 examples on each grid to get them started.
