Here is an original idea for Pancake Day - make some pancake finger puppets with your children! Perhaps the kids could make a few and put on a special Pancake Day puppet show!
Cut 4 or 5 inch circles out of brown cardboard. Use a knitting needle or similar to punch two holes towards the bottom of the circle for your child's first two fingers.
Your child can now decorate his "pancake" finger puppet as he likes - with paint, crayons, pipe cleaners, wool, sequins and so on.
