Our pine cone mouse makes a cute little craft for kids - especially in the autumn when pine cones are plentiful.
You will need:
Pine cone
Brown pipe cleaner (chenille stem)
Scrap of brown card
Wiggle eyes
Strong glue
Cut a small piece of the pipe cleaner to be your tail. Glue it to the flattish end of the pine cone.
Cut two semicircles of brown card and glue the to the brangesof the pine cone as ears.
Finally add the eyes in the same way.
We wanted our hedgehog's prickles or spines to look really prickly, which is how we came up with this folded paper technique. It looks really effective and makes a really cute hedgehog for display. This is a gentle, non-messy craft.
