Here is a fun pirate themed counting game that helps children to develop their number recognition. It is best printed on card or laminated. You could stick the chest onto a box with a hole cut into it to collect the 'treasure'.
Instructions:
Print out the treasure chest and cut out the slot in the middle.
Print and cut out the coins. Mix them up. Ask the children to look at the numbers on the coins and post them into the treasure chest in order.
Here's a fun Halloween-themed dice game for children learning the numbers 1 to 6, which you can play one to one with your child, or with 4 players in total.
You will need a dotted or numbered die and a collection of coloured counters, with a different colour for each player.
