Here are our Week 1 activities for Year 1 children, all on a fun Seaside theme! We've chosen a collection of our resources - some old, some new - designed to keep kids busy and sharp throughout the summer.

First - Maths!

Practice your maths skills while colouring in and playing a dice game - these activities make learning fun! We've including a skip counting dot to dot which provides practise for all the times tables, but suggest that the 2, 5 and 10 versions would be appropriate at this stage. If you prefer, choose the simple dot to dot instead.

Literacy

Write some seaside sentences, unscramble some more, read and colour a seaside picture, and put together some mini word jigsaws! You could also study the beach poster and talk about what you see - perhaps sparking off a story or some interesting conversation!
