Vocabulary Matching Cards
There are many ways you can use our fun vocabulary matching cards. I've suggested a few below but I'm sure you can come up with more!
- Give your child the cards in two piles and ask them to match them up
- Play a memory game. Jumble up the cards and place them all face down. Turn two over at a time and try to find pairs, memorising where the cards are as you go. You can play Memory as a solo game or with two players. See instructions here.
- Make a file folder game. Glue the picture cards to the inside of a file folder. Keep the word cards in an envelope or zip-bag attached to the file folder. Ask your child to place the correct word cards on top of the picture cards.
