Yaks are tough animals that have learnt to survive in extreme conditions. They are related to buffalos and are mostly found in the Himalayas - almost 90% of yaks live there. Yaks have a thick, warm coat which keeps them warm and helps them survive extremely cold temperatures.
Fun fact: In the winter, yaks use their long horns as snow shovels when looking for plants to eat under a layer of snow.
