Carp kite, or koinobori, are kites in the shape of carp fish, which are hung outside houses by families on Children's Day in Japan. In Japanese the carp stands for strength and courage.
We have our own printable version at Activity Village! Click on the link below to open and print the colouring page. Colour in and decorate the kite then cut around the dotted line and roll the kite into a tube, joining the short edges with a little glue or sticky tape. Attach streamers and tie with a ribbon to a pole, if you wish.
