New
Year Collage
Get the children used to the numbers of the New Year by letting them
create their own crafty collage. (Note from Lindsay: we did this every
year when the kids were young and the collages were proudly displayed
right through January, then photographed - but sadly I can't track
those early photos down).
The more "ingredients" you put, the better. Either draw the numbers for the
children or help them draw the outlines themselves. Liberally paint on some
white glue (PVA glue) and let them get sticking!
Idea: the collages may be too big and bulky to store successfully for long
after the New Year. Why not photograph them with your child as a milestone
memory to keep? I used to use the photographs as a desktop wallpaper for January
every year....
