Olympic Games

The Olympic Games, both summer and winter, are a wonderful opportunity to get the kids excited about sport, friendly competition, national pride and counting medals!

"The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph, but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered, but to have fought well."
Olympic Creed

Paris 2024 / Jeux olympiques d'été de 2024!

The Paris Olympics - the games of the XXXIII Olympiad - will run from 26th July to 11th August 2024. After the Tokyo Olympics in 2011, at which no spectators were allowed, this year's Summer Olympic Games is sure to be special and exciting!

France's beautiful capital city, Paris, will be the main host. In addition, 16 other cities across France will host parts of the games, as well as the island of Tahiti.

As always, Activity Village has a huge collection of activities that you can use to get the kids interested and involved. Choose from general Olympic colouring pages, learning resources and fun printables, drill down to find your child's favourite sports, use the occasion to study the Ancient Olympics, or print out flags and decorate the house / classroom to support your athletes! There is something for everyone below.

And of course, the Paris Olympics are a great excuse to learn a little bit more about France and perhaps colour in a Paris colouring page, or two!

Some Fun Facts

  • Did you know that Paris also hosted the Olympic Games in 1924, 100 years ago?
  • This will be the sixth Olympic Games hosted by Paris: the third Summer Olympic Games, in addition to three Winter Olympic Games
