I kept pages like this in a lever arch file in the kitchen, together with a hole punch. Whenever any forms, tickets, info pages and similar paper came in that needed to be stored for the future, I would punch them and put them behind the appropriate month's page so that I could find them easily. I wrote in events, holidays and commitements in advance, and also kept track of days when kids were off school sick, etc. It was simple to keep up and invaluable.
