Boggler puzzles for kids are fun word puzzles for all ages, a mixture of anagrams, word searches and hidden words! They are new for 2011, and unique to Activity Village! They make great time fillers for the classroom or home, and you can either play them on your own (instructions are on the print out) or play them competitively to see who can score the most in a certain amount of time (say 3 minutes). Our first boggler puzzles are tied into the holidays coming up, but we've got lots more to come soon!
How to play boggler puzzles:
How many words of 3 letters or more can you find using the letters in the puzzle? Words are formed from adjoining letters. Letters must join in the proper sequence to spell a word and may join horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, to the left, right, or up-and-down. No letter square, however, may be used more than once within a single word. You may use plurals if available. Score 1 point for each 3 letter word, 2 points for 4 letter words, 3 points for 5 letter words and so on. Every puzzle has additional words which score extra bonus points - you'll find the details on the printout.
