You will need a steady hand to outline the calavera (Day of the Dead sugar skull) in PVA glue, and the patience to wait for the glue to dry, but I think you'll agree the result is worth it!
You will need:
- Clear acetate
- PVA glue in a bottle with an applicator cap
- Black food colouring
- PVA glue
- Tissue paper
Instructions:
Print one of our Day of the Dead calavera (sugar skull) colouring pages.
Place the sheet of acetate on top.
Take a small bottle of pva glue with an applicator cap. Dye the glue black by squeezing in some black food colouring (we used gel) and stirring with a skewer.
Squeezing gently, trace the calavera using the glue direct from the bottle. Set the acetate aside to let the glue dry.
When the glue is completely dry, turn over and paint the back of the skull with glue. Cover with small pieces of tissue paper.
When everything is dry, cut out the skull and stick up in the window!
