Autumn is a good time to talk about bird migration with the kids. Swallows are particularly fascinating: our swallows migrate to South Africa for the winter, travelling at speeds of up to 22 miles per hour and covering distances of up to 200 miles a day. Sadly many die of starvation or exhaustion along the way.
Swallow Migration Poster
This lovely photographic poster of a robin on frosty ground is perfect for winter displays. Children love to leave seeds or bread out for the birds in winter - especially if they are lucky enough to have a little chap like this come visit!
Doesn't this lovely poster scream summer and sunshine at you? And of course the inflatable flamingos make it extra appealing!
