Phonics Phase Five

 


In Phase 5, children learn more new graphemes, including split digraphs. We also start to look at alternative pronunciations of learned graphemes.

By the end of Phase 5, children should be able to read all of the common graphemes in the English language and apply their knowledge to write phonetically plausible words and sentences.
