The 15th and final day of Chinese New Year celebrations is the Lantern Festival. Traditionally families hung lanterns around their haouses and children walked to the temple carrying paper lanterns. Now it is the town centres which are decorated and there may be carnivals and processions often with extremely elaborate lanterns in many wonderful shapes.
