Halloween, Colouring, Fun New Pirate Worksheets and More...

Thursday 5th October
This week we've begun to "refresh" our Halloween content with two big new additions of posters and story paper, which we hope will spark off some interesting Halloween writing! We've continued to work on our Around the World pages by taking a trip to San Marinoand Moldova. We've got more Pirate fun and topped up our colouring card collection with some lovely new animal scenes. And we've learned about our Famous Person of the week - Charles Darwin.

The most popular downloads in the last two weeks have been our new "colouring quotes" -so we've got 2 new colouring pages and cards for you today. And Shelly has some brilliant ideas for using our printables in drawing activities with the kids in this week's guest post ... and they are not necessarily the printables you would expect!

And don't forget - if it isn't in the newsletter, that doesn't mean we haven't got it! There is so much more to explore on the website.

A Little Laugh ...
Teacher: “What does the word “benign” mean?”
Pupil: “Benign is what you will be after you be eight!”

A teenage boy arrived to baby-sit one night, and, after a brief session of play with the youngsters, he sent them upstairs to bed with a sigh of relief and settled down to watch football. One of the youngsters kept creeping down the stairs, but the teenager was engrossed in the match and just pointed back upstairs, saying firmly "Back to bed!"
At 9pm the doorbell rang. It was the next-door neighbour, asking anxiously whether her son was there. The teenager was about to reply when a little head appeared over the banister and shouted, "I'm here, Mum, but he won't let me go home!"

I eat my peas with honey;
I've done it all my life.
It makes the peas taste funny,
But it keeps them on the knife.
