Although our photo doing do this craft justice, it's worth having a go at these wax resist snowflakes. You can try the activity with a range of ages, painting the "sky" with a simple watered down blue paint with younger children and trying some more interesting combinations with older kids.
You will need:
White crayon, candle or oil pastel
Watered down blue paint
Draw snowflakes onto the paper with the crayon, pressing firmly.
Paint over the top with the watered down paint. The wax should resist the paint, revealing the snowflakes.
